Korean comedian and former wrestler Kang Ho Dong is planning to bring his Korean barbecue restaurant, Kang Ho Dong Baekjeong to Manhattan's Koreatown, reports Grub Street. LA Weekly critic Jonathan Gold is a big fan of the L.A. outpost, and a Flushing location opened last year, but both of those are independently operated. This newest spot, on the other hand, will be the restaurant's flagship, and management is bringing in Deuki Hong, who previously worked at Jean Georges and Momofuku (and popped up for a night at Seersucker earlier this summer) to run the kitchen. No word yet on an exact opening date, but expect the table griddles to start heating up this fall.
