After closing late June due to high rents and slow business legendary drag night club Lucky Cheng's is back in business with a pop-up at Lower East Side lounge, the DL. They will be performing their cabaret show on the club's second floor while looking for a new, permanent location. Wherever they end up, this new iteration of Lucky Cheng's will be run by Josephine and Robert Jason, the daughter and ex-husband of the original owner Hayne Suthon who died of breast cancer in June. They will handle all BOH operations while the DL will run the venue. For now, check out the pop-up where a three course dinner and show are offered on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7:30 for $40 a person and Fridays and Saturdays at 7:00 and 9:30 for $50 a person. Reservations can be made by calling 212-995-5500.
