Andrew Friedman tells the story of how chef Ryan Tate made his way from the now-shuttered Le Restaurant to Blenheim, after it suffered some early chef troubles. After connecting with Tate, Blenheim's owners dined at Le Restaurant on its second to last day, "with a scant six souls in the dining room, two in the kitchen, and a solitary server soldiering back and forth between them. But the couple were able to see past the funereal setting and were blissed out by the food." The rest is history. [Toqueland]
