Fulton, Crescent Lounge, and More Bite the Dust

1) Upper East Side: Fulton restaurant, which the Citarella team opened in 2008, has shuttered. A farewell note on the restaurant's site explains: "In an effort to focus all of our talent and resources on the continued evolution of Citarella, we have opted to close Fulton." [EaterWire]

2) East Village: Birdbath Neighborhood Green Bakery on 3rd Avenue has officially shuttered. A rep told Eater earlier this summer that the shutter was temporary, but the place was gutted recently, according to EV Grieve. Across town, another location is still under construction. [EV Grieve]

3) Astoria: Neighborhood favorite, the Crescent Lounge closed this week after nearly 13 years in business. Owner John Karanikas, who started working as a bartender at the bar, told DNAinfo that it was simply time for the "next chapter." No word yet on who the new tenants are. [DNAinfo]
