Joshua and Heidy Smookler, the couple behind Mu Ramen, are now only a month or two away from opening the brick-and-mortar location of their runaway hit pop-up in Long Island City. The Smooklers have been planning a permanent location since February, but after Pete Wells named Mu the best ramen joint in the city, they were so inundated with business that they were forced to shut down the small pop-up dinners they'd been hosting in their apartment (and before that a bagel shop). But now, after months of construction, Joshua tells Eater he hopes to open "at the end of September, or at the latest in October." He even has a menu that's just about good to go. Here, now, is a first look at that menu, which includes a whole lot more than noodles (remember, Joshua is a vet of Per Se).
Note that this menu is not 100 percent final. While it's essentially good to go, Joshua tells Eater that prices and one or two dishes may change before the opening.
