A recent Craigslist listing for a five floor "high-end restaurant and bar" appears to be an attempt by the owners of the sprawling Meatpacking District lounge Manon to sell the place off. The restaurant isn't mentioned by name, but those gaudy interiors are pretty unmistakable. As some may remember, the restaurant has been on vacation since the beginning of summer, when it closed with promises of a "new culinary & nightlife concept" opening in the fall.
Is Manon really being sold on Craigslist for $6.5 million? One can never be too sure in that particular market place, but for what it's worth, the seller confirms over the phone that the restaurant is indeed Manon. He will not, however, disclose the partners involved in the sale of the restaurant, so it's uncertain whether the original backer, Russian tycoon Andrey Dellos, is in the picture. Eater has reached out to a rep for the restaurant for more details. Stay tuned.
