David Chang confirms the rumor first floated back in April that he's planning a Momofuku outpost in DC. Today he tells the Washingtonian that he plans to open a 4,500 square foot restaurant inside the new CityCenter by spring or summer of 2015. At the moment the form of this new restaurant is up in the air. Chang promises "It's going to be exactly what we do and nothing like what we do at the same time."

In other words, there will be pork buns, but otherwise who knows. At the moment the chef says his interests lie in "super-casual dining" and in not making "food for foodies," believe it or not. The DC Momo will join another NYC restaurant, DBGB, which is opening in the CityCenter in September.
