After a summer-time shutter, East Village Italian spot Perbacco is planning to reopen in September with a revamped design, menu, and focus on wine. The restaurant will have 80 varieties of Italian wine on offer, with 40 plus wines by the glass. Roman-born chef Clelia Bendandi is assembling a menu of small Italian plates with touches like artichoke and seafood dishes from her hometown. A handful of favorites from the old Perbacco like crème brulee di Parmigiano Reggiano will remain on the menu. [EaterWire]
