done with miserable pains au chocolat that only have one stick of chocolate inside

Tejal Rao, former Village Voice restaurant critic, has just taken the position of food editor and restaurant critic at Bloomberg Pursuits. Since she resigned from her position at the Voice last year, she has held positions at Saveur and Tasting Table, but this new position is her first return to the regular criticism beat.
Eater's own Ryan Sutton was the last critic to file regular reviews for Bloomberg, but Rao will fill a somewhat different role when she starts on August 25. Her reviews will eventually appear on a new website spinoff of Bloomberg Pursuits, which will launching early 2015. But Rao will begin reviewing on Bloomberg.com well before that, sometime in September. When she does, she will be one of very few female restaurant critics in New York.
