Little Muenster pre-shutter: Yelp

1) Lower East Side: Grilled cheese shop Little Muenster has shuttered its Stanton Street location after three years. Bowery Boogie reports that sign posted in the window says: "With our Hudson Eats and DUMBO locations going strong and the launching of our new brand Little Nica', we'll focus our attention on those shops,". Another grilled cheese shop has opened around the corner on Allen Street. [BB]

2) Lower East Side: Art gallery and wine bar Culturefix closed its doors this week, reports Bowery and Bedford. It appears that the shutter may have been caused by something more complicated than a rent hike. The bar's Facebook page posted: "At this time, we cannot go into detail as to the cause of our closure, but would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our supporters." [B+B]

3) Park Slope: The Slope location of Cheeburger Cheeburger, a Florida-based chain, has closed up shop, reports Here's Park Slope. It was the only Brooklyn location of the burger joint. [HSP via Grub Street]

4) West Village: The well-liked Mexican spot Mexicana Mama on Hudson Street has closed. No word yet on the reason for the closure. [Eaterwire]

5) Soho: Healthy chain Organic Avenue shuttered its Sullivan Street location last week, saying that it was simply too small. The chain is also in the process of revamping several locations. [Twitter; DNAinfo]
