New Amsterdam Market Comeback; Summer Food Fests

SOUTH STREET SEAPORT — After abruptly announcing the end of its weekly markets, it looks like the New Amsterdam Market may come back. In an email to market supporters, founder Robert LaValva and the board say they are "actively planning the future of New Amsterdam Market and will keep you informed." [Eaterwire]

BOWERY — Scott Bryan's Bacchanal will add dinner service on Sundays starting this weekend serving its menu of small plates like crispy sweetbreads and escarole salad, and larger dishes like Bryan's Chatham cod with clams. [Eaterwire]

FLATIRON — Cafe El Presidente has added breakfast to their offerings. Breakfast tacos, traditional egg dishes, Mexican pastries, and granola are available starting at 7am daily. Fresh pressed juices are also available and coffee is sourced from Chiapas in Mexican chiapas. The team will also host a "Taco Tuesday" pop-up at Flatiron Plaza next Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. [Eaterwire]
