Brooks Headley is Planning a Veggie Burger Pop-Up

Del Posto pastry chef Brooks Headley is branching out from his usual pastry realm to host Superiority Burger, a one-night veggie burger pop-up on July 20 in the Eldridge Street space that very recently held Family Recipe. Veggie burgers will go for $5, but $10 gets you the deluxe with a side and dessert. The pop-up will run from 5 p.m. until they sell out. And don't be turned off by the no-meat thing: these veggie burgers were a huge hit at the James Beard gala this year. According to one attendee, they're like Shackburgers "made with vegetables," so get there early. No word yet on whether Headley plans to continue this pop-up past the 20th. Stay tuned.
