The building that houses the Williamsburg outpost of Momofuku Milk Bar just went on the market. The tiny two-story building on Metropolitan Avenue is part of a larger plot that's being sold for development, and according to the listing it "would need to be demolished for development, or built on top of to extend development." The fate of the Williamsburg Milk Bar, and more importantly, the commissary kitchen attached, is uncertain. Should the new developer choose to demolish the building, Christina Tosi and team would have to find another space to turn out all those crack pies and corn cookies. Eater has reached out to both the brokers and the Momofuku team for more information. Stay tuned.
Update: The Milk Bar team responds, "We actually have many, many years left on our lease and have a great relationship with our landlord, so no one is moving anywhere anytime soon!"
