Perennial Brooklyn Heights favorite Jack the Horse Tavern is opening the Oyster Room around the corner at 37 Cranberry Street tonight. The small space seats 16 and serves a short menu that includes five varieties of oysters hailing from both the east and west coasts, along with small plates like fried goat cheese balls with spiced honey, smoked trout deviled eggs, and roasted brussels sprouts and radishes. Drinks from the tavern will be available too. The spot should be a welcome addition to the notoriously crummy restaurant neighborhood.
