The recently vacated Yuji Ramen space at Whole Foods in Brooklyn won't stay empty long. Brooklyn Flea and Smorgasburg regular Cemita's Mexican Sandwiches & Tacos is moving in permanently and will open its in-store shop this Friday. Owner Danny Lyu will serve a small menu of tacos and his much-loved cemitas (Mexican sandwiches) stacked with black bean puree, Oaxacan cheese, chipotle spread, and papalo. Protein options include carnitas, chicken tinga, barbacoa and a vegetarian mushroom mix. No word yet on what will fill the Yuji space at Whole Foods on the Bowery, but stay tuned.
