Mike's Bistro, a mainstay of the upscale kosher restaurant scene, quietly shuttered its Upper West Side location earlier this summer and opened in Midtown East mid-July. The new space run by Roman-born chef Michael Gershkovich is twice large as its previous home, with 180 seats and five private rooms. The menu has several new items but wasn't entirely overhauled. The move puts Mike's only a few blocks from its biggest kosher competitor, The Prime Grill.
