NEW HAVEN — Legendary pizza shop Pepe's will open its first Boston area outpost in Brookline pizzeria The Fireplace, after it shutters in December. "[T]here are not many restaurants that I would be comfortable turning our space over to, but it is a dream to transfer our lease to Pepe's to let them build a new tradition here...I will be a frequent customer," says Jim Solomon, owner of The Fireplace.
