Grace, the year-old Irish bar with a womanly bent on 3rd Avenue, has shuttered. Last summer Danny McDonald, owner of the Dead Rabbit and a number of other bars, opened the space with a menu of cocktails created entirely by some of the city's top female mixologists, including Ivy Mix of Clover Club, Eryn Reece of Death & Co., and Pamela Wiznitzer of the Dead Rabbit. While those women weren't bartenders there, they all took guest shifts when it opened and helped train the bar's staff. Grace also doubled as a restaurant serving a seafood focused menu. Sadly, an employee tells Eater: "They could never fill the restaurant side and were consistently losing money. They're keeping the space and going to put in a Harry's Italian style place." From signs it looks like that place will be called Nick's Pizza Bar.
