This week Ligaya Mishan reviews Brooklyn Ball Factory, a little Japanese cafe in Williamsburg. There she finds a simple menu of sandwiches and set meals, served with a choice of meats like "the titular meatballs ... hulks of beef chuck roll and short rib in a sweet-sour sauce of apples cooked in soy, then mixed with apple skin and left to ferment."
