Turns out that No. 7 Sub's temporary shutter in Greenpoint will be a bit longer than originally planned, but the wait should be worth it. Co-owner Tyler Kord tells Eater that the team is giving the space more than just a sprucing up, turning it into what sounds like a mashup of his full-service No. 7 restaurant and the sub shop. This has always been the least populated of the hit sandwich joint's outposts, which may explain the sudden revamp. Now, besides the familiar list of weirdo sandwiches, expect an expanded menu of bar foods such as the stellar double decker broccoli tacos currently found at the Fort Greene restaurant. Kord also promises a larger bar and a longer drink menu, and says space is slated to reopen on August 20.
