Nightingale 9 Reopens Tonight in the Seersucker Space

Robert Newton and Kerry Diamond reopen their hit Vietnamese restaurant, Nightingale 9 tonight in the space that used to house Seersucker. Earlier this month the couple closed both Seersucker and Nightingale 9 to pull a switcheroo between the two restaurants. Seersucker is gone for good, but last week they opened Wilma Jean, a more casual Southern restaurant, in the old Nightingale 9 space and now Nightingale 9 makes its return in the bigger space at 329 Smith Street. Newton and executive sous chef Morgan Jarrett have created a new, much longer menu for the new space, which includes steamed clams in coconut and ginger broth and fried frog legs with curry butter, as well as a couple old favorites like pork shoulder with hand cut rice sheets and raw collard salad. Diamond also tells Eater that since this space has a full liquor license, there will now be "Asian-inspired cocktails." Check out the full menu below:
