Carmellini, Pickard, and Ostrom Are IN at The Smyth

As rumored, the hit-makers at Noho Hospitality Group are indeed working on a new project in The Smyth hotel in Tribeca. A rep for the group tells Eater that Andrew Carmellini, Josh Pickard, and Luke Ostrom are planning "another corner restaurant" at the hotel. Presumably, this will be the space in The Smyth that previously housed Plein Sud. There's no official word yet on what type of food this restaurant will serve, but one Eater source whispers that this new project might have a farm-to-table theme. Carmellini, Pickard, and Ostrom just opened Bar Primi on the Bowery with chef/partner Sal Lamboglia, and they also operate downtown hot spots Lafayette, The Dutch, and Locanda Verde. The new project is slated to open at the end of the year.
