Ruschmeyer's owner Ed Scheetz had decided to sue the State Liquor Authority over a small noise violation. The SLA slapped the Montauk hotel with a $7,500 fine over two noise incidents last summer, but Scheetz says they used defective equipment and calls the fine "excessive." If Scheetz refuses to pay and loses the suit, Ruschmeyer's may lose its liquor license. At least they have those delicious bagels. [NYP]
