This summer Ruschmeyer's, Montauk's hippest hotel/adult summer camp will offer bagels from Manhattan's hottest bagel shop, Black Seed. As in past years, Matt Kliegman, Carlos Quirarte, and Melia Marden of The Smile are running the kitchen at Ruschmeyer's, and since Kliegman is also a co-owner of Black Seed, it's only reasonable that he would include the wood-fired bagels on the new brunch menu, which Ruschmeyer's is launching for the first time this year. The chef, Roy Wohlars of Montauk seafood joint Moby Dick's, is also new this year, and has helped revamp the rest of the Ruschmeyer's menus as well.
The updated dinner menu includes a raw bar, wood-fired pizzas, and dishes like mussels with Lap Chong, as well as Ruschmeyer's standards like clam pot pie Update: Those dishes are actually off the new menu, which does include smoked bluefish salad and spaghettini with crab, mint, and chili. The new brunch menu, which includes dishes like a smoked bluefish scramble and a braised pork belly sandwich alongside those Black Seed bagels, is below.
