Looking for something to do this weekend? Here are five choice dining events going on around the city:
1) Pride at The Spotted Pig
When: Tomorrow, 5:30 p.m.
Where: The Spotted Pig
What: The Spotted Pig will be holding their sixth annual Pride Party this sunday, immediately following the parade. Be sure to check out their festive drink specials like Pride Punch and an ice luge. The restaurant will be serving food until 2 a.m.
2) Empellón Pride Party
When: Tomorrow, 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
What: Empellon is also throwing a Pride Party featuring mexican cocktails like mezcal margaritas as well as beer and wine. Tickets, which include an open bar cost $65. There will be a limited food menu available for purchase as well.
3) Taste of New Orleans
When: Tomorrow, 2 p.m.
Where: Claw Daddy's
What: LES seafood restaurant Claw Daddy's is throwing a New Orleans themed party. The menu includes catfish po'boys, wings and calamari. There are plenty of local beers on tap as well like Abita, Captain Lawrence and Fire Island. You will need to buy tickets- $25 will get you 5 with each ticket good for one food item or beverage. They can be purchased at the door or in advance here.
4) Evening in White: The PopUp Dinner
When: Today, 5 p.m.
Where: Somewhere in Prospect Park
What: Similar to the French Dîner en Blanc series, the Brooklyn version of this pop-up dinner has the guests dress all in white and bring their own food and drink to a location that is announced the day of the event. Rumor has it that Ben Folds will make an appearance and sing a few songs. Tickets are $35. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to be put on the guest list.
5) Beer Tasting
When: Today, 3 p.m.
Where: Malt & Mold
What: Taste the beers of Greenport Harbor including their citrus IPA and summer ale. The tasting includes an explanation of the brewing process and some cheese to go with all that beer.
