Mole Closes on Allen Street; Le Cirque NYCWFF Dinner

LOWER EAST SIDE — Sadly, it looks like the Allen Street outpost of Mexican mini-chain Mole has closed. A "for rent" sign hangs in the window, and the phone line is no longer in service. The Williamsburg, West Village, and Upper East Side locations are still open, business as usual. [EaterWire]

MIDTOWN EAST — On October, 15, as part of the NYCWFF, Le Cirque will host a special 40th anniversary dinner with food from distinguished alumni Daniel Boulud, David Bouley, and Jacque Torres, and current chef Raphael Francois. The event will be hosted by proprietor Sirio Maccioni. Tickets are $300, and they can be purchased online. [EaterWire]

LOWER EAST SIDEThe newest installment of Charlotte Druckman and Melanie Dunea's "Sunday Night Dinner" series for T Magazine focuses on the final night of service at Family Recipe. Owner Akiko Thurnauer says she plans to keep the lease and use the space for a catering operation. [T Mag]
