Here's a look around Meadowsweet, Polo Dobkin's return to the Dressler space where he once was chef. It is, as promised, much lighter and airier than its pioneering predecessor, with wood and whitewashed brick walls, a pretty tiled floor, and a tiny lofted herb garden. Dobkin's American menu includes dishes like smoked trout with crepe, bitter greens, and horseradish, cavatelli with braised rabbit, and pork chop and belly with collards and grits. The cocktail menu, from Dobkin's wife Stephanie Lempert and Jeremy Adona, includes classics and house cocktails, many featuring herbs picked from that herb garden.
