Shanna Pacifico, the long-time chef of Peter Hoffman's Back Forty (and more recently Back Forty West) opens her new Crown Heights restaurant, Pacifico's Fine Foods tonight. Pacifico, who left her position at Back Forty early this year, has teamed up Kristi Banister, who owns Williamsburg's High Horse and Roberto Aita of the Fort Greene restaurants Aita and Mayflower for this new project, which takes up a small space on Franklin Avenue. Pacifico's American and Brazilian-influenced menu includes dishes like yuca-pork fritters with yellow aji aioli, quinoa-crusted mahi mahi with a banana, radish, and fennel salad, and "chicharrones de pollo"— crisp chicken pieces with a spicy slaw. The bar serves beer, wine, and cocktails, and will stay open until 2 a.m. some nights. Pacifico also tells Eater that she plans to launch brunch in a month or two. Stay tuned for photos of the space and check out the full menu after the jump.
