SHACK ATTACK — Yesterday, Daniel Boulud served a special "Piggie Shack" burger to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Shake Shack. And, continuing in that spirit, his restaurant DBGB is offering a free draft beer to anyone who orders the Piggie Burger and mentions the Piggie Shack to their server. The special offer is available tonight through Friday. On a slightly related note, here's a look at the sign at the Madison Square Park location of Shake Shack after David Chang's shrimp burger sold out today. Tomorrow, Andrew Zimmern will serve his goat burger. [EaterWire]
LAUNCHES AND RELEASES — Resy, the new online reservation app from Eater co-Founder Ben Leventhal and wine guru/entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk, is now available for download. The app lets you purchase last-minute reservations at place like Minetta Tavern and Charlie Bird on your phone. Earlier today, some users experienced a "wait list" when they logged on. Check out more information about this new system on Eater National. [Resy, Eater National]
NAPA VALLEY — Today, Eater's restaurant editor Bill Addison files his Road to the 38 review of Thomas Keller's Yountville, California destination The French Laundry. How does it compare to the new fine dining trailblazers in the Bay Area? Here's Bill's takeaway: "If you're young and want to understand the groundwork of modern fine dining, head to Yountville. If you've dined before at Keller's paean to perfectionism and have an open mind, try Benu or Saison." [Eater National]
