If everything goes according to plan, Manhattan's first-ever Dairy Queen will make its debut at 54 West 14th St. on May 27. The opening will surely bring joy to the Blizzard-loving people of this city, including junk food-addicted tycoon/DQ backer Warren Buffett, who will finally be able to have one of his minions deliver the chain's sugary treats to his table at The Four Seasons. Staten Island has had a DQ location for about a year, and now it's finally time for Manhattan to get a piece of the Oreo crumble-topped action.
In addition to the regular roster of sweets, the 14th Street location of Dairy Queen will have a few Manhattan-specific menu items like a "Big Apple Blizzard Treat," as well as sandwiches, burgers, and salads. For all those DQ junkies out there, here are a few interior and exterior plywood shots of the new Manhattan location:

This space formerly housed a shoe store called Fabco Shoes.

Soon this will be full of people shoveling Blizzards into their faces with aplomb.

Where will they put the Orange Julius machine?
