LONG ISLAND CITY — Last night a bevy of big name chefs — including Amanda Cohen, Brooks Headley, Wylie Dufresne, and Dominique Ansel — cooked at a spring benefit dinner for the future Museum of Food and Drink (more pictures below). Founded by Dave Arnold, the museum could become a brick and mortar reality by 2019. In the meantime the MOFAD group is planning an exhibit all about the world of cereal, complete with Arnold's puffing gun. Highlights from the dinner included a TV dinner from Michael Anthony, Brooks Headley's veggie burger (making the rounds on the events circuit this week), a spirited rant from Dave Arnold on the necessity of this museum, and the requisite Questlove sighting. WILLIAMSBURGLachlan just introduced a bunch of new spring items to the dinner menu including garganelli with mustard green pesto, orechiette with duck liver ragu, chilled pea soup, and a berkshire pork chop with broccoli rabe. The popular burger and fried chicken sandwich are also on the spring menu. [EaterWire]
