Teen chef Flynn McGarry, who was recently featured on the cover of the New York Times Magazine's food issue (not without some backlash), is bringing his pop-up restaurant Eureka to New York. The 15-year-old will cook his eight-course tasting menu on May 19 and 20 at dining room of Creative Edge Parties, a high-end catering company.
The meal is $150 per person, with the option of a $60 wine pairing or $30 non-alcoholic beverage pairing. Reservations are limited, and must be requested through an online form. McGarry told the Times that his plan was to "move to New York at 17, work at Eleven Madison Park or somewhere like it for a year, maybe a year and a half, and then start work on his restaurant by 19," so in some ways this dinner is a chance to test the waters.
