The people behind popular West Village cocktail den Little Branch are planning to resurrect their now-shuttered Tribeca jazz club, Silver Lining, in Bed-Stuy. The new spot at 1223 Bedford Avenue won't be called Silver Lining, but it will, according to DNAinfo, look a whole lot like it.
The new, still-unnamed bar will feature free live jazz every night, and will have a menu of cocktails and small plates much like those found at Little Branch, Milk & Honey, and other outposts of Sasha Petraske's cocktail empire. Plus, because it's Bed-Stuy, there will also be some "more affordable options" and a more extensive beer selection. When Silver Lining closed last summer, co-owners Joseph Schwartz and Vito Dieterle planned to look for a new spot elsewhere in Tribeca, but Dieterle says they chose Bed-Stuy in part because it's "deeply saturated" in the history of jazz.
