Last week the State Supreme Court ordered East Village landlord Steve Croman to pay Gabrielle Hamilton back the $57,075 she invested in a restaurant that never came to be. Back in 2011 the Prune chef put down that money on a space she hoped to turn into a takeout spot, but when it turned out that the place was only zoned for residential use, Croman kept the money despite promises otherwise.
