Rub-A-Grub Returns; Red Carpet Madness at the Beards

BED-STUY — Rub-A-Grub, the annual series of summer food and music parties, returns on May 25. The first party takes place at Do or Dine, and as always there will be three rounds of food and drinks, starting in the afternoon with bloody Marys, followed by appetizers, a beer and a shot, and cocktails with barbecue from Justin Warner. Each round is accompanied by a DJ set. Tickets are $15 in advance, and can be bought online. [EaterWire]

COLUMBIA STREET WATERFRONT — Pok Pok is offering breakfast starting tomorrow. It'll be open from 8 a.m. to noon every day, with "grab-and-go breakfast options," espresso drinks from Stumptown, and the full cocktail menu. [Facebook]

LOWER EAST SIDE — Fung Tu is now offering a six-course tasting menu for $60 per person. The menu changes nightly, but expect dishes like white asparagus egg drop soup with ramps and trout roe, and fried pork chop with pickled mustard cabbage. Optional beverage pairings are an extra $30.
