After closing down for a revamp back in January, Greenwich Village old-timer Caffe Dante has reopened, now with a bar and kitchen. Jeremiah Moss reports that the new version of the 99-year-old Italian pastry shop is "not the total disaster" that many feared, and still sports the same signage and decorations. The old dessert menu is also still available.

Moss adds, "The feel of the place, however, is just not the same." All the tables and chairs have been replaced with "sturdier" furniture and long banquettes, and a commenter reports that there's also a new flatscreen TV.
