Apiary Revamp Après Closes After Just Three Weeks

Several tipsters have written in with news that Après, the very recent revamp of Apiary, appears to have closed. The restaurant's OpenTable page is now inactive, and a message on the restaurant's answering machine says that Après has "permanently closed." This is a shocker not only because the East Village restaurant only reopened a few weeks ago, but also because the new chef, Mazen Mustafa came with a serious pedigree from his years as Paul Liebrandt's right hand man at Corton and then as his executive chef at The Elm. Eater has reached out to the Après team for details on the closure, more information as it becomes available.
