It looks like the restaurant that the Roberta's team was rumored to be opening in Rockaway Beach might just be their pop-up pizza stand. The mobile oven is now up and running at Beach 96th Street, the abandoned property where Roberta's had supposedly signed a lease. This doesn't rule out the possibility of a restaurant down the road, but for now it's just a plywood counter. [B+B]
