New Tenant for Après Space; Taste of Summer Fundraiser

EAST VILLAGEA new location of Unidentified Flying Chicken (UFC) will open in the space that housed Apiary and Après. Jenny Moon, the managing partner of those restaurants, tells Paper: "We thank all of our valued Apiary customers who supported us through the opening of Après and all those who came to experience the restaurant...Mazen Mustafa is a very talented chef and we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors." No word yet on where Mustafa is headed next. The new chicken restaurant will open next month with 18 to 20 beers on tap. [Paper]

CENTRAL PARKThe Central Park Conservancy's Taste of Summer fundraiser will take place on Wednesday, June 11 at the Bethesda Terrace. A ton of popular restaurants are participating in the event, and it will feature a "Taste Cafe" hosted by Marcus Samuelsson, plus a silent auction. Tickets are $400. [EaterWire]
