Italian Hero Shop Chubby Mary's Has Shuttered

Francis Garcia and Sal Basille's hero shop Chubby Mary's has closed for good after less than two years of business. The restaurant's Seamless page has been taken down and a former employee confirmed the closure over the phone. This was Garcia and Basille's second attempt to open a business in that location — it previously held a sweet shop
called Led Zeppole — and this was their second try at opening a sandwich shop after the now shuttered This Little Piggy Had Roast Beef. On the bright side, the Artichoke pizzeria mini chain is still going strong.
