Jose Garces Plans to Open Amada at Brookfield Place

Jose Garces has announced that he'll open an outpost of his Spanish tapas restaurant, Amada, in Brookfield Place. The Philadelphia-based hot shot chef signed on for one of the six full-service restaurants there back in March, but at the time wouldn't reveal any details. Now a spokesperson confirms that it will be an Amada, his third after the Philly original and an outpost in Atlantic City. Expect an all day restaurant with traditional tapas, as well as soups and sandwiches for lunch, and the option of a tapas tasting menu for dinner.

The restaurant is slated to open in 2015, alongside Parm, the Eataly-esque French market, Le District, and several other sit-down restaurants (including maybe, just maybe, a Jean-Georges Vongerichten project). Meanwhile Hudson Eats, Brookfield Place's all-star food court, should open by the end of next week.
