The unstoppable Italian-American culinary force of nature that is the Major Food Group is getting ready to take Flatbush Avenue by storm. A Times article from earlier this year about the group mentioned plans for a location of Parm across the street from the Barclays Center, and now, the Daily News reports that Mario Carbone, Rich Torrisi, and Jeff Zalaznick have inked a deal for two adjacent storefronts at 208 and 210 Flatbush Avenue. The landlord at the spaces tells the Daily News: "The neighborhood is going to have a very different face 24 months from now." Indeed, that face will be covered in marinara sauce.
The Torrisi boys are also planning to open locations of Parm in Williamsburg, Battery Park City, and the Upper West Side. Eater has reached out to the Major Food mothership, but no word yet on when Parm Flatbush will open.
UPDATE: Jeff Zalaznick tells Eater that the team expects to open Parm Flatbush Ave this fall.
