Here's a look around a little place called Lumiere, which opens on East Third Street next week. The chef is Wesley Wobles, who could be found most recently at Paul Seres's NIMBY-besieged club, The DL. Now he's in charge of this good-looking little spot, which sports a tangrams motif, a glowing red basement lounge, and an American menu of dishes like duck confit salad, shellfish bouillabaisse, and a burger.

The restaurant opens next Monday, but the team might seat a few tables starting later this week. Take a look at the space, and the menu.
