Rub-A-Grub, Happy Hour, Passport to Taiwan, and More

Looking for something to do this weekend? Here are five choice dining events going on around the city:

When: Sunday, 2 p.m.
Where: Do or Dine
What: This food event features three courses put out by the Do or Dine crew, DJ sets, and plenty of booze. Tickets cost $15 without food and $30 with food and drink.

When: Today and Tomorrow, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Where: Telepan Local
What: Telepan Local is launching happy hour, which includes $5 draught beers, $6 glasses of wine, and $10 featured cocktails. The deal will run all this weekend, and then every weekday after that.

When: Sunday at noon
Where: Union Square
What: Check this even celebrating Taiwanese culture, including performances, art exhibits, and food like bamboo tamales, shaved ice and oyster omelets. More info is available on their website.

When: Sunday, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Where: Extra Fancy
What: Extra Fancy is launching a Sunday fish fry, which will take place every week through the summer. The meal includes beer battered pollock or cornmeal crusted catfish, with fries and two seasonal sides. A one piece meal costs $14, and a two costs $19.

When: Monday, 9:45 p.m.
Where: Celebration of Whimsy
What: Celebrate memorial day with a Ferris Bueller's Day Off drinking game. There will be a live performance of the film and plenty of opportunities to drink. Tickets cost $15 and there will be a cash bar to keep the drinks flowing.
