Cole's Greenwich Village Quietly Closes its Doors

17 months ago, a team of nightlife players that included David Rabin and Johnny Swet opened Cole's Greenwich Village in the space that formerly housed Lyon, and before the Cafe de Bruxelles. Chef Daniel Eardley jumped ship back in October, and Rabin and most of his partners left the restaurant shortly after that. Now, several tipsters note that Cole's is dunzo. The OpenTable page is dead, the phone line goes to message, and the website no longer exists. Most of the critics avoided this place, although it was pretty busy when it first opened. No word yet on what will takes its place.
