WEST VILLAGE — This weekend the Spotted Pig will become the first ever restaurant to serve "House of Good" espresso, the Blue Bottle roast created by LCD Soundsystem frontman James Murphy. Murphy is, according to the restaurant, a "friend and regular" of the Spotted Pig. [EaterWire]
GIMMICKS — 7-Eleven is trying its hardest to pander to the hipster crowd by selling mustache straws and plastic mason jars for Slurpees. It's $2.99 extra for the jar and $.99 for the straw, and the "on-trend Slurpee accessories" are already a hit with the young people. [~EN~]
