Houston Street looks like the chocolate river from Willy Wonka thanks to a major water main break outside of Katz's. The deli staff tells Eater that while the basement has some flooding, there are no pastrami casualties so far. Firefighters are working to pump out a foot of water that rushed into the basement when a 20-inch pipe from 1959 gave out. Meanwhile diners are still munching away on their sandwiches inside.
