Crab Boils May Be Coming to the Old Meade's Space

The Hideaway; Meade's

According to several tipsters, word on the street (and from the construction workers renovating it), is that the space that once held the beloved Seaport tavern Meade's will become a second outpost of The Hideaway. Eater investigated and found that the April Community Board 1 agenda (in PDF) includes an application by Hedgie, LLC for a liquor license for the space. A little digging reveals that Hedgie is owned by Justin Palmer, who does indeed own The Hideaway, a Tribeca restaurant known for hosting Maryland-style blue crab boils.

The Hideaway team confirms that it has a new project in the works, but won't yet offer any more details or the location of the upcoming restaurant. Stay tuned.
