Tomorrow night, legendary restaurateur Drew Nieporent will open his third fine dining establishment in 30 years at 239 West Broadway. It's called Bâtard, and John Winterman, formerly of Daniel, is a partner here. Markus Glocker, formerly of Gordon Ramsay at The London, is the chef/partner. Bâtard is a modern fine dining restaurant but there are no tablecloths, and actually, the restaurant does not have an à la carte menu. Guests can either choose two courses for $55, three courses for $65, or four courses for $75. Back in February, Mr Nieporent remarked that this would be "more user-friendly than Corton," and it looks like he's making good on his promise.

Take a look around the space, check out the menu below, and please send any early reports our way.
