Yuji Haraguchi, the chef behind the hit pop-up (and now permanent Whole Foods counter) Yuji Ramen, quietly opened his long-anticipated restaurant, Okonomi yesterday. The tiny space has just 10 seats, and according to Facebook, it's only open during the day for now, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekdays, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the weekend.

At the moment there's just one set menu a day, which includes a simple assortment of fish, vegetables, rice, and soup for just $9. Eventually Haraguchi plans to also serve ramen dishes like those at Yuji's Whole Foods locations, Japanese street food, and omakase tasting menus similar to those that have garnered raves at Yuji.
